Meat Process Worker

About the Role

As a Meat Process Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient processing and preparation of high-quality meat products. You may be required to work across various departments depending on your skills, experience, and business needs.

 

Key duties may include:

  • Trimming, cutting, boning, and slicing meat to required specifications
  • Sorting, grading, and separating different cuts of meat
  • Operating processing equipment and machinery safely and efficiently
  • Maintaining strict hygiene and food safety standards
  • Cleaning and sterilising work areas, tools, and equipment
  • Handling and moving carcasses in accordance with workplace procedures
  • Working in environments such as chillers, boning rooms, and slaughter floors
  • Packing, labelling, and preparing products for distribution
  • General labouring and assisting team members where required

 

 

What We’re Looking For

 

  • Strong work ethic and reliability

  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment

  • Willingness to follow strict hygiene, safety, and quality procedures

  • Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills

  • Previous experience in meat processing (highly regarded but not essential)

  • Willingness to learn and take direction
