Refrigeration Mechanic / Technician
Wodonga Rendering Pty Ltd is a meat processing plant that is currently seeking a Refrigeration Mechanic for their Wodonga based site.
Tasks can include but are not limited to:
- ARCtick licence – Refrigerant Handling Licence (must have)
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of industrial refrigeration equipment, including chillers, freezers, and air conditioning units
- Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration systems to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime
- Install new A/C systems and components according to industry standards and manufacturer specifications
- Document all maintenance and repair work, including maintaining detailed records of parts and labour
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and safety practices
- Embrace team culture and enjoy contributing to a positive environment
- Availability to work outside normal hours
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Australian Driver’s Licence
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
- Physically fit and capable of working at heights.
- Formal qualifications in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, such as a Certificate III in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Refrigeration Mechanic, working with commercial and industrial refrigeration systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex issues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all relevant regulations and safety protocols
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Prior experience is a must. A suitable candidate will need to possess a strong work ethic, be able to work autonomously and in a group environment. They will need to be flexible with hours and overtime as well as happy to work in a shift rotation.
